Originally from Austin, Texas, Matthew moved to California in 2005 to take on a career as Senior Audio Visual Technician at one of the most prestigious event venues in Southern California, [seven-degrees] located in the heart of Laguna Beach, CA. He has designed and managed audio and visual effects for high end special events and weddings with well-known celebrity names such as rapper and artist E-40, brother of UFC champion Chuck Lidell, pro surfer Sunny Garcia, and brother of pro snowboarder Sean White. Matthew expanded his realm of talent into the world of DJ/MC, primarily focused on weddings. Having experience with over 200 weddings now, Matthew has grown to become one of Emobile’s most popular DJs.

Hello my name is Dakota Joshua Sottosanto, also known as “DJ Sota” and I have been DJing since 2002. I first began DJing on the Radio for KZSC while attending college at UC Santa Cruz and I programmed my own show for over 3 years. Since then I have worked mobile Disc Jockey. As a mobile DJ, I have entertained at a variety of events including Proms, Sweet 16s, Bar Mitzvahs, Corporate Events, Clubs, and of course lots of weddings. In fact, in the past few years I have DJed over a hundred weddings. I make it my personal goal to ensure each wedding flows smoothly and successfully and that everyone is having a good time! Musically, I have an extensive knowledge ranging from the 1940's to the current Top 40. DJing weddings has motivated me to expand my musical versatility. I realize each wedding is unique, and is a collection of people from a variety of age groups and cultural backgrounds, so my musical knowledge is always growing. My style is always professional and friendly. I am flexible enough to meet the needs of any group. For me, the bottom line is a wedding is about the Bride and groom celebrating with their family and friends, NOT about the DJ. I am not the style of DJ that likes the sound of their own voice or plays their personal music selections. Instead, I do my best to make sure that the clients are happy and that their guest are having a GREAT time. One of the things I love about being a DJ is seeing people celebrating to the music I am playing. I realize the DJ is an essential part of your special event.
